To commemorate the 2014 Global Day of Action for the Decriminalization of Abortion, the panel explores the linkages between abortion stigma, criminalization and restrictive laws and policies, and examines their impact on the rights of women, particularly adolescent girls.

JAN MOOLMAN is a South African feminist working on the intersections of women's rights, sexual rights, violence against women and the internet. She has extensive experience in women's rights, media and communications in South and Southern Africa. She is currently coordinating a project on violence against women and technology in 7 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America as part of her work at the Association for Progressive Communications' Women's Rights Programme.
